Services, Shabbat & Holidays

As we enter 5782, we are looking back over an incredible 5781.  We had  moving and memorable remote services led by KHN youth and adult members as well as the wonderful Rabbi Allison Flash.  We are filled with gratitude for all the ways our community stepped up and stepped in to redeem this challenging year for a blessing.  Todah Rabah to the leaders, the readers, the singers and everyone who answered the call in big and small ways. Yashur Koach!

We resumed in-person services in August 2021, and will host High Holy Day services with the ‘big four’ services online and some multi-access and outdoor opportunities.  Be sure to check out all the HHD info here.

Kabbalat Shabbat Services 5782

7PM  First Fridays of the month, we will celebrate Kabbalat Shabbat services in-person at KHN. Our services will also be streaming on  KHN’s FB Live page.  (All in-person seating is masked and distanced regardless of vaccination status.)

6PM  Third Fridays of the month, we will celebrate Kabbalat Shabbat services ONLINE ONLY via Zoom and streaming on FB Live.

Get more details for Friday night services here.

Every Shabbat morning congregants gather for Torah Study at 9:30am. Torah study will continue on Zoom with limited in-person options for members who are coming to KHN for Shabbat School on the first and third Saturdays. Get more info about Torah Study here.

Morning Minyans meet Sunday mornings at 9:15am via Zoom.

On the Saturday mornings following the first and third Fridays during the school year, KHN children and youth gather for Shabbat School.

Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are just the beginning. With so many Jewish holidays, there really is something for everyone. Eating outside in the sukkah. Dancing with the Torah and a live klezmer band on Simchat Torah. Hanukkah Game Night. Original, irreverent Purimshpiels inspired by everything from Broadway favorites to current events. Our community Passover seder.  Lag b’Omer bonfire at Alki Beach.

Some services, such as bnai mitzvah, are offered via Facebook live. Those services can be reached by clicking the picture below.
