Tikkun Olam Talk: Sustainable Fashion
with Sasha Rayburn
Wed Nov 17th, 7PM via Zoom
Meeting ID: 868 8482 3678 Passcode: JUSTICE

What is sustainable fashion and how does it relate to living Jewishly?

Let’s Talk!
At the start of the pandemic, Tikkun Olam Chair, Sasha Rayburn, was inspired to learn more about how clothing is produced, used and discarded locally and around the world. In her explorations, she learned how to sew AND got a glimpse behind the curtain on the big impact fast fashion has on our economies and environment.
As KHN gears up for our annual Warm Clothing Drive, collecting hats, gloves, socks and other warm winter gear to share with our West Seattle neighbors in need at the Dec 25th WIN luncheon, Sasha will to share what she has learned with the KHN community and encourage us all to become part of the global movement for sustainable fashion.
Join us via Zoom on Wednesday, November 17th for an impassioned look at why Jews (and everyone) should buy (or make!) Sustainable…just in time for Hanukkah!
